SHC Reactive Pistol Range

THE SHC Reactive Pistol Range

Located at the back of the 300 yard range to the right, has 4 pistol bays each with pneumatic driven computer controlled and programmable targets. The dynamic target sets in all bays are duplicate and synchronized, so 4 shooters can safely operate or train simultaneously. 

PUBLIC USE

SHC Reactive Range is available for public use anytime it is running and manned by a SHC Range Officer during any public event. There is a separate fee to use the reactive pistol range.

Safety is our first priority.

• Range is by default COLD.  No loaded firearms are allowed within the facility when not on the firing line preparing to engage targets, and only when instructed by the RO.
• Follow all RO commands.
• All Shooters are expected to utilize chamber flags or maintain an open chamber by locking back their slides or holstering when moving around the range.
• All shooters are expected to utilize a muzzle up when moving a PCC around the range.
• EYE and EAR protection is required for all persons at all times when inside the facility.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS
• Shooters must utilize a holster, pistol case / bag / box to transport their pistols to and from the firing line.  All firearms manipulations will be done only at the firing line.
• *** RANGE IS COLD -- Absolutely NO magazines are to be in a firearm unless you are on the firing line shooting ***
• AD’s / ND’s will not be tolerated and shooters will be asked to leave.
• FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH RULES  MAY RESULT in REMOVAL FROM RANGE

RECOMMENDED FIREARMS / GEAR:

• Pistols in .22LR RN  or  Frangible 9mm / 40cal / 45acp
• 2-4 magazines that hold 15-21+ rounds
• Holster for pistol
• Optional magazine holsters recommended (2)
• Proper ammunition ( NO HOLLOW POINT BULLETS  )
• NO RIFLE CALIBER FIREARMS 

REQUIRED SAFETY GEAR:

(Range does not provide)

• Hearing Protection
• Eye Protection 
• Hats/Caps are recommended
• Holsters / magazine holsters / pistol case / pistol bag or box / chamber Flags for all PCC's

*AMMO  REQUIREMENTS:

• Calibers .22LR  (FRANGIBLE: 9mm, .40, or .45) 
• Shooters MUST use a .22LR round nose, or a frangible round. 
• ABSOLUTELY NO FULL METAL JACKET OR HOLLOW POINT OR MAGNUM CALIBER AMMUNITION IS PERMITTED.
• Check with the RO at the Reactive Range to acquire ammunition.

ALL GUESTS MUST CHECK IN AT THE Entrance Cabin or if instructed: the SHC REACTIVE PISTOL RANGE.  Located past the camping area (to the right), follow the road between the Shower/bathroom house and the main camping area through the security gate.  Stay left after the gate and the range parking will be on the right.
